The door to enter our hotel room was jammed, so we had to use our shoulder in order to get door to open. Tissue paper roll was used, doors were nasty with stains. Breakfast was horrible and breakfast workers had no customer service skills at all

As a rule Homewood Suites has been very satisfying place to stay in Corpus Christi and New Mexico. The location iin College Station is good. Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful.. Free breakfast was also good. But .... problem with the sofa bed put a real damper on our stay.
Negatives:
All was satisfactory until bed time. I did a room upgrade to sleep 3 adults with separate beds, 2 queens and a sofa bed, which increased the cost. The bedding on the sofa bed including the mattress was embarrassing. The mattress was old and worn; the fitted sheet was too small so it caused the worn out mattress to curl up at all four corners. Still we made the best of it. I wish I had taken pictures to share.

The woman working front desk on Wednesday the 6th in the eveing was very helpful and transferred my room very quickly. Appreciated her emensly.
Negatives:
I had to transfer rooms due to the 1st room not being clean. Sticky floors and hair in shower and extra bedding bag. Blankets that the beds are made with look like bed skirts, not blankets. Did not sleep with those on the bed and had to ask for actual blankets. Was an odd stay.

A/C was terrible, hallways smelled bad, and I had to go to front desk 3 times when checking in due to key card not working. Young man at the front desk seemed very unconcerned, and unhelpful. On my 4th trip back to the front desk I asked for a different room.

Place needs some updating but very clean in bathroom. Suggest replacing all shower curtains to help freshen. Nice there is a tub and laundry area a bonus for families. Full size fridge & dishwasher nice amenities.
