Negatives: No coffee pot no coffee in office. Out of 8 weeks on the road in hotels, this was only one with no coffee. Very disappointed.

Positives: The only things I liked about this hotel were the friendly staff, and that it was reasonably clean for a budget hotel.
Negatives: The parking lot lights are so bright that I had to sleep with an eye mask on because their blockout curtains only partially blocked out the floodlights in the parking lot. It's a Motel 6, which means it's never going to be a "nice" place to stay for most people. It was about as good as one can expect, meaning it was reasonably clean but also had nastiness like a warped/stained ceiling above the shower where the paint has trapped water and bubbled, big gaps in the wall around the pipe for the shower head, holes and/or old stains in some of the towels, scratchy sheets, and it was missing the security latch on the door above the doorknob. The base was bolted into the door, but the latch itself was gone. The room also got freakishly cold at night for no discernible reason, and the beds only have a thin sheet, a thin blanket, and thin "comforter" that's more like a rectangular table cloth, forcing me to wear socks and a long sleeve top to bed to stay comfortable. But by far the worst problem was the shameless price gauging by this hotel for the April 2024 eclipse, charging nearly $500 a night for a bottom tier hotel with all of the above-mentioned issues. Yes, all the hotels did it, but a Motel 6 charging the same amount as top tier hotels in San Antonio is ridiculous. The manager/owner/clerk even had the nerve to act surprised at how "expensive" it was (her word) when I checked in. Ya think? Aren't YOU the one who sets the price? I hope karma hits this hotel hard and causes them to have to pay huge expenses that negate whatever profit they took by price gauging people.
