The bed was very comfortable and nicely made. The kind woman who was working the morning after our stay was very helpful and super friendly, as was the gentleman that checked us in. It was quiet and safe.

The motel is under construction, and we chose to pay extra for the "elite" room. The TV did not work, and neither did the phone, so we couldn't call to ask for someone to help us. The floors were extremely dirty. My feet should not get dirty immediately out of the shower. There was not an iron or a blow dryer, and I needed both. I understand that people steal these items sometimes, but it's Uvalde... even the least expensive motels in San Antonio provide these accommodations, and the crime rate is much higher. The dead crickets on the floor and behind the bed were a little too much also. It really isn't a bad motel. I just feel like the attention to detail lacks in the housekeeping department. Also, if you are going to charge me almost one hundred dollars and call it an "elite" room, it should be as good as you can make the room appear. One hundred dollars is steep for any motel. Especially one with a 4.5 rating. There isn't much else to choose from, though, being Uvalde and all, so it allows the owners to charge whatever they like without concerns for others' budgets.
