Typical hotel heavy doors that slam loudly. (JW Marriott in Grand Rapids, MI has solved this problem). Could hear the guests above us because the hotel does not have concrete between floors.

Nice and updated. Very clean. Pool area was clean but the bottom of the pool and around the edges were a little grimy.
Negatives:
Front desk didnt give enough information, like how much the incidentals were that were being charged & what time check out was. It would be nice to know about the parking fee before booking & they dont even ask for license plate so why charge a fee?

For the price I am surprised a continental breakfast is not provided. Hotels in the area were a similar price and offered breakfast. I failed to note it wasnt provided but had I know I wouldve booked elsewhere.

The manager, Brittney, was great. The room was comfortable.
Negatives:
The restaurant employees were not in sight when we went in. We found them sitting in the corner when we went to the counter, after asking if the restaurant was open. We were the only two customers in the place and they got our order completely wrong.
My friend slipped in water next to the elevator, by the pool. When I told the front staff, no one even came to help or check on her. She hit her head hard against the desk. The front desk lady did call the manager and tell her about the incident, which we heard while going to the counter to make sure someone was cleaning up the water. Thats when we also overheard that they were getting ice for her head as well.
The manager was nice and apologetic but also stated that there were plenty of people who walked by the water and didnt slip.
Weird situation, but at least my friend made it out with only a goose egg, bruised face, and a damaged ego.
Room was nice. Bottles of water are tempting but $5 a piece, so make sure to read the tag on the top.
