The hotel was easy to access, the desk staff were slightly reserved and needed a little encouragement to become more friendly. We liked the accommodations ... the rooms were large and provided good space for our luggage and rest. It was nice to have breakfast served in the hotel.
Negatives:
The pillows were too large and uncomfortable for sleeping there was nothing else that we didn't like. All was above average, but not out of the ordinary.

Front desk was outstanding. Breakfast was good--but they serve on Styrofoam plates--really ruined the vibe. We missed tea--but how lovely. The décor in the lobby was unique and fun. Our room was very clean. Although the hotel could use a refurbish, I would hate to see it lose its unique charm. Location was excellent: right off the highway, and 10 minutes from town.

Clean and convenient to the highway and the U of Virginia campus. Only a few minutes from the historic downtown area with great restaurants.
Amazing breakfast buffet with so many options. Tea, coffee and treats were set out near the fireplace in the lobby when we arrived. Very welcoming.Nice park and community garden behind the property for a quick walk. There was a very large indoor pool but no hot tub.
Negatives:
The rooms were pleasant and clean but could use an update. Looks like they did recently replaced some bathroom fixtures. The side we were on was nearest the main road which had some traffic that we could hear at night but it wasn’t terrible.
