Breakfast was OK, with the usual eggs and bacon, toast, waffles, coffee and tea.
Stayed 1 night as a stopover to somewhere else. Did not manage to use the pool or gym.

Clean but pricey
Positives:
Liked the pleasant and helpful staff, extended hours to use the pool, cleanliness of the rooms, location near to campus. WiFi worked well. Nice to have the option of an onsite breakfast.
Negatives:
It was hard to control the room temperature. It started out way too warm, had to use the AC then keep a window cracked open to cool it down. The sound of the heater woke me up every few minutes during the night, eventually had to shut it down completely. The shower was warm and water plentiful, but the shower head only sprayed a fine mist in a wide pattern, so it was very hard to get shampoo out of my hair.

Our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and mostly clean as well. The hotel uses Dove brand in the shower and near the sink, and that's one of the better brands I've seen in a hotel. I also really enjoy Hot Mama's, a coffee place that this hotel shares a parking lot with. This was my second stay here and most likely not my last.
Negatives:
Our shower had soap all over the walls so that was odd. Breakfast is definitely lacking, but the biscuits and gravy were alright.

The bed was great! The room was quiet and immaculate! Staff friendly, and location right off the freeway!
Negatives:
The breakfast was way below standard for usual Holiday Inn express. The pancake machine was broken, the oatmeal was very runny, eggs were cold, and sausage was rubbery. This was 7:30 AM usually a time where one would expect things to be ready for guests.
