The staff was so friendly and accommodating. It is a pet friendly hotel so that was amazing. If we wanted information about the National Park and surrounding areas they were more than happy to help. If the answer was unknown my receptionist found out and called me in my room! Customer service is excellent. My doggies got a treat and a toy upon check in. So sweet.

The rooms have a basic kitchen with all the tools you might need. In addition coin laundry is available. Things that could be mentioned on booking.
Negatives:
Rather far away from the city center. You get free bus tickets, but have to plan for extra time to go to the city by bus as the bus does not go that often. You can also walk to the city center, should be possible in about 30 minutes.
No proper heating. For heating the AC unit is used, which makes a lot of noise. We slept without the AC and woke up to a really cold room. A hotel in the mountains should have proper heating.
Very thin walls and ceilings / roofs. People above us checked in quite late and we could hear them walking around „live“.
We stayed there one night Friday to Saturday. The price was very high. This may be due to the fact that in Banff most hotels double their prices on weekends. Weekdays the price goes down almost 50%, as far as we have seen. The reduced rate is more appropriate to the offered standard.
