Check-in at 11 pm was very slow. We had travelled all day and despite two staff on the reception desk, the check-in was very slow. The room was great; however, there wasnt enough hot water for both of us to shower in the morning - halfway through my shower, the water became lukewarm to cool. Then the hotel said they couldnt accommodate us with the airport shuttle in the morning. After a discussion with the manager, they did get us on a shuttle to the airport. We like Hampton Inn and have had great stays in the past so we were really disappointed in our stay in Calgary.

large room, lovely staff, well laid out property, quiet, excellent bed.
Negatives:
Very dim room lighting for older person, perhaps use brighter led bulbs when the 40 watt incandescent bulbs burn out. The small counter size cube fridge was sitting on the floor and I am to old to get on my hands and knees to use it.

Positives:
we stayed here on three separate occasions as we transferred through Calgary to the Roclies and to Alaska. We had free cancellation in case we didn't like the first night there. The staff were great. We paid for a taxi from the airport but every trip after that we used or called them to send the free airport shuttle service. We had dinner in their restaurant one night and had breakfast every morning. The room was huge, the breakfast was good and it's nice to have a laundry and pool area for guests. I would definitely stay here again.

Arrived at 10.30 p.m. to find no food being served. I thought a Hilton hotel with guests staying there after travelling via plane would have something to eat. Very shocking to me. It was no better than a bad travel lodge.
Paper plates for breakfast and paper cups. Breakfast was very basic. I wouldnt recommend.

Room was basic. Having the refrigerator in the room on the floor felt like a low-end hotel. There wasnt even a bar of soap to wash our hands with, just a small travel size liquid soap. We had trouble with the tv and the staff handled it very well, in fact moving us and upgrading us. We were very appreciative of this. It also made us realize the difference in the room in the 10th floor to what we had booked. The restaurant was ridiculously over-priced. We did not eat there. The free breakfast was average, coffee was nice.
