Nothing. It was close to the ferry which was nice but we had a terrible stay. Waste of money.
Negatives:
The room was filled with ants, enough that they were ALL OVER the bathroom floor an we had to place towels down to walk-on. We checked in around 7 pm with kids and didn’t have another option.
There was also a hockey team in our hallway who was horribly disrespectful and the staff didn’t do anything about it. The parents and kids of the team were running in the hallways and yelling between rooms with open door until 1 am. We called front desk about both things and they really just laughed it off.

Nanaimo doesn’t have any reason...
Positives:
Location is close to the ferry.
Negatives:
Ran down room. Lots of scuff marks all over the walls and extension cords running everywhere. Tv in kids part didn’t work and would turn off with the light switch. Parking lots had people smoking weed. Loud music and brake lights from cars outside our bedroom room late at night. We got in late and had an early ferry booked. Otherwise I wouldn’t have stayed here.
