The hotel staff were all great. The room was clean.
Negatives:
The noise in this room was over the top! My husband and had a really hard time sleeping. The home only had one window that opened and the box air conditioning did not work. The room was very hot and uncomfortable. Luckily, they did not ask about our stay while checking out. I would have told them the truth. The majority of the customers here seemed to be overnights prior to a cruise so I think repeat customers are not important to them.

The hotel seemed quite old and it was quite noisy outside our room with problems with the ice machine and them using a blower to dry the carpet early in the morning, and also noise in the street, and it was very expensive for what you got

There was a rat in the room! The hotel needs repairs. The front desk staff were supportive and quicky gave us another room and breakfast coupons, however the this make our experience frustrating.

Location is amazing! This is absolutely awesome place, beach, mountains view, Stanley park and DT center very close to the hotel. Staff is very friendly and nice! The restaurant (pub) on the ground floor is a nice place too, open mic shows, live music, tasty food, good beer, we had a great time there, also I like the breakfasts.
Negatives:
I did not like the smell of old carpet flooring in the room, needs to be changed, seems to be too old.

The staff at the front desk were really friendly and helpful! Ricky was exceptional and went above and beyond and he intentionally went out of his way to talk to us and make sure we were happy with our stay. He was very kind and will be part of our memories for sure!
Negatives:
There were mice (in both of our rooms). Although it looked mostly clean, seeing mice led us to feel like everything was a little unsanitary including the restaurant. A mouse in a hotel would not be acceptable where we are from although it sounds like it may be expected in Vancouver.
