The room had an excellent view of the city, and the kitchen was a nice addition to offset the cost of the stay by making it possible to prepare meals in room. The wifi was superb, making it possible to work remotely with ease. Also, the voucher system where guests receive a gift certificate for the lobby cafe if they skip housekeeping for a day is a nice perk.
The building is showing its age in that the kitchens have not been updated in several years it seems, and there were plumbing issues in adjacent rooms during my stay. The lack of outlets near the bed for charging devices is a small annoyance.
Overall good experience with some...
The central location was great. Every kind of food was available within blocks, and as it is in the centre of downtown Vancouver, we never needed to use any form of public transport to get around.
Room size was generous, we never felt cramped. The beds were really comfy and the A/C worked flawlessly in our room.
The reception staff was extremely nice and did their best to accommodate all our wishes.
The room could have been a bit cleaner, there was a bunch of dust building up over the course of our stay. On the balcony there was also a bit of pigeon poop. The decor is also rather dated, with loads of wear and tear visible on the furniture. The shower water sometimes took a good 5-10 minutes to get warm. Due to the close proximity with a hospital right next door, there were occasionally some loud sirens audible.
The location and room comfyness...
Excellent room; actually rooms.
Great restaurant for dinner.
Good coffee shop for grabbing a quick coffee & pastry for breakfast.
The staff was very helpful.
it was really old and not well equipped - for the price i paid i was expecting a luxury hotel. lots of cables, shower was super old, noisy, very simple. A hotel like this normally is a 1 star… quite disappointed!
location and the fact they gave me another room since a lamp didn’t work.
not recommendable!! do not go!!
location. ease of a late checkout.
Price was not worth the quality of the room. Room was dated. peeling paint on windowsill. dated bathroom fixtures. damage to bottoms of bathroom door. Pool was closed.
Location and proximity to St...
location was perfect for us
the room decor is jaded, bathroom small, no grab handles by bath-shower was over bath, dirty windows, single glazing so exceptionally noisy
the staff were welcoming and...
the location and laundry service ( washer and dryer)
too much noise from outside
Room was a good size
Room could have been a little bit cleaner, was very dusty and the decor could use a refresh.
Hotel was fine, the rooms...
I like that it was close to the wedding venue we had to go to. Easy to catch a taxi or walk.our stay was ok. But I expected more.
Expensive for an old hotel with old appliances.
What I did not like was that it was very difficult to figure out the parking lot. You could have access from the lobby to go into P2 but not the other level of the parking lot. It was complicated.
Couches were dirty and stained. Found crumbs on living room table.
