Radisson Kingswood Hotel & Suites Fredericton NB

Negatives: I picked this hotel because it had a restaurant and outdoor space. The restaurant was shut down, and the outdoor space was closed and could not be used.

Negatives: More staff on the weekends when the Hotel is busy.Also we left to go out for breakfast, on the way by the desk I explained to the lady that we had waited and now we were going to get something to eat so we may be late checking out.She was lovely Oh Iam sorry no problem. When we arrived back to our room a knock on the door from staff member saying check out was at 11.I explained that I had spoken to the lady at the desk.She responded with How much longer before you are leaving? 10 min

Negatives: I really expected better from a Radisson property. The room was certainly nothing special. We were originally told that house keeping was only every three days. No benefit to us as we were only staying for three nights. I did ask for the towels to be replaced for our second night. To their credit, someone came into the room to replace the towels and empty the garbage every day. The king bed had wall mounted bedside shelving, however they actually touch the bed on either side, which made making the bed, which we had to do ourselves, very difficult. The bedside shelves are quite small. On the one side there was a lamp and a phone, which took up almost the entire surface. If you had a CPAP machine or even a medium sized book, you would be out of luck. The bed itself was comfortable, but the exposed bed frame platform looked like it had been through a war. I’m guessing that the frame is repeatedly hit by a vacuum. No bed skirt to hide the platform or the box spring. Obviously attention to detail is not important to the hotel management. Appreciated the walk in shower, but with only one glass panel and no door, the water winds up spraying the bathroom floor and even out into the small foyer. There is no place to hang outdoor clothing by the entrance door. The only closet was beside the bed. They advertise a coffee maker, but these are very cheap. I suppose this reduces the chance of theft. But the $100 deposit would certainly cover that. All in all our stay was ok. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary coffee station in the lobby is a nice touch, until you taste the coffee. Lukewarm and nasty. Better to invest in one of the automated Nescafé machines that make coffee, espresso etc.
