Exceptional
Positives:
We booked this hotel because we had an early flight out of St. John's. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort of the room (it was the largest room we stayed at during our 2 weeks in Newfoundland). We were also pleased with the proximity of the hotel to the airport, and the fact that it is still about a 12 minute drive from downtown St. John's.
Negatives:
The complimentary breakfast is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM which didn't work with the time of our flight, so we didn't get a chance to enjoy it.

They were very nice to let us check in early.
Our return flight left very early, before their official full breakfast opening time, but they did offer a nice continental breakfast - cereal, toast, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, etc. Great to have something before going to the airport.
Shuttle service was friendly, prompt and available at 5:30 am.

Would be nice to have a restaurant/lounge on site.

Check in was long - computer went down and had to be rebooted not an issue but only one one staff person delayed check in. He was friendly and held his cool but for me it was a case of understaffing. The next staff person who took over from him was also alone and as we went by she was dealing with a line up of about 12 people.
