We've always enjoyed staying at a Holiday Inn. The rooms are clean; the staff is helpful and friendly, and the free parking (at most locations) and the breakfast included offering is especially convenient. However, this two-night stay left us thinking twice about booking again at this location. All this because of the breakfast on the second morning. The first morning the breakfast was acceptable.
On the second morning, the eggs, the sausage, the beans — all the hot food was almost stone cold — even the coffee, which was also watery and tasteless.
Can a room get booked without breakfast included? Apparently not. And that's unfortunate because we will now consider other options when visiting Kingston — and other destinations — especially if it will be more than a one-night stay. If Holiday Inn would offer a booking option at a lower rate, one without "breakfast included," our decision would be easy: if the price is right, stay with Holiday Inn.
