Great sized room, great downtown location and the kitchen was useful. Grocery store right across the street. Restaurant had good food at a decent price.
Housekeeping staff were exceptionally friendly.

I liked the location and the breakfast options.
Negatives:
I rented the King Suite for just over $4,000 for 2 weeks. The dishwasher was full of soiled pots. There was a used knife in the drawer. The fridge smelled bad. There was ear wax on the bed sheet. And the entire apartment was too dark as the lamps were a warm light.
To top it off, they charged me separately for parking and I had to pay to wash my clothes.
All this in a King Suite for over $2,000 per week. I will not stay here again.

Location is fantastic (and for people booking a room with a kitchenette; there’s a Food Basics across the road to get groceries); staff are lovely, even under pressure
Negatives:
The bathroom: it’s either there wasn’t a lot of care taken in scrubbing the walls of the shower (so I could see what looked like scum) or it is old and needs to be refurbished, and I could see that the floor tile grout was dirty (or at the very least ‘discoloured’ which is also gross) as well. I imagine the janitors are under pressure to work as fast as possible so this is not their fault, it’s just… I’m really squeamish about bathrooms and this was not great for me and it is for this reason that we left after one night.

Positives:
The hotel is located in downtown Ottawa, which is very convenient, and the breakfast is offered as a buffet. That was basically the only positive aspect.
Negatives:
Breakfast ends at 9:30 a.m., which is far too early for a hotel of this category. Extending it at least until 11:00 a.m. would be reasonable.
During my stay, one night at 1 a.m., the fire alarm went off. It turned out to be a false alarm, and although the staff already knew this, they still made all guests evacuate the building. The elevators were not working, and I was staying on the 15th floor, so I had to climb 15 floors by stairs in the middle of the night. This shows a complete lack of care towards guests.
On top of that, during check-in, despite my Booking reservation clearly showing the final price with taxes included, the receptionist tried to charge me more. I had to insist and show the Booking confirmation multiple times, as they kept claiming a different price. They also took a $300 deposit, and the receptionist attempted to charge an additional $500 on top of the final Booking price. This made my stay start off on the wrong foot.

Location ok. Breakfast ok. Nothing exceptional. Average i would say. Not many options. NO tags on the dishes were available, hence has to figure out what is what . The setup was not good.
Negatives:
Coffee was hidden from the dining area. Had to ask where is coffee. The greeting at the breakfast could be much better. Olly a select people were been attended to.

The hotel is in a perfect location, very close to the city center. The room was clean, but you can already feel that the hotel is not new anymore.
Negatives:
Unfortunately, the sleep wasn’t great — the fridge made noise during the night, and around 5:30 AM construction work started right across the street, very close to the windows.
