Breakfast was good but would have liked to see more environmentally friendly plates, cutlery etc and/or the opportunity to separate waste (ie compost, paper etc.) so not to generate so much trash

Not liking that it seems my credit card has been charged twice. I thought you were charged for the room plus $100 deposit and then you would receive a credit. That was not the case for me - I have two charges and have now reached the limit on my credit card and will have to wait for a credit.
In the middle of nowhere and a terrible drive on a wet stormy night without any street lights but it was the cheapest closest to our destination.

We arrived at 9pm after having driven all day only to be told that their pet policy does not allow cats (which was not indicated on Booking.com) and then told "no refunds" when we said we don't want to pay for the room we are not being allowed to stay in?? The woman said "maybe next time you should look at the actual website and not a third party site" when we told her that we didnt see anything about no cats on their listing.
Truly the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel and a really fun way to be welcomed back into Canada after being away for a few months.

Nice and clean, with comfortable beds and a convenient location that includes free parking. The breakfast was a lovely touch! Overall, a solid choice — I’d happily stay here again.
Negatives:
Had a great stay overall, though the late-night hallway marathon (with kids screaming at 2 a.m.) made it a bit hard to sleep ?. Hopefully just a one-off experience!
