Breakfast was better than anticipated. A nice drive to Finch metro station (line 1) without undue traffic, making our way downtown Toronto and back an easy way to avoid grid lock traffic in Toronto.
Negatives:
The pull-out-sofa was so bad that my son had to sleep on the sofa, that was in itself not comfortable.

The room was nice, separate room, from living room with sofa bed and kitchen. Nice area around hotel, park not far with playground, people jogging and a dog park.

Nice courtyard with seating area and bbq could be. Used when the weather is nicer

The sofa bed (as sofa beds tend to be) was not super comfy.
For the amount of reviews that raved about breakfast it was ok. Pancake making station wasn’t working
The sausages were good, the eggs were ok, but kind of premade folded over omelette type things and I would have loved to have bacon, but only two hot breakfast item trays. The area for the food items was small and congested so always trying to find a place to stand where you were out of someone’s way while waiting for your toast.

Not comparable to other Sonesta I have stayed in in California.
Everything else was low quality or too old. Rundown hotel in desperate need of a renovation. Photos are non representative of reality. Despite poor customer survey and the hotel assistant manager reached out. Although I didn't ask for any remedy,they didn't offer any.
Very poor value, similar prices to other local hotels in the same area but much worse conditions.
