The hotel is right on the waterfront, adjacent to a park. Nice for walking. On-site restaurant is quite good, but pricey. Beds and showers are good, as you would expect.
Negatives:
Only one person on the front desk at any time, so guests must line up and wait. Telephone calls from inside and outside the hotel go unanswered. FYI the free parking lot is quite a distance away - it’s a long walk for a lone woman in the dark. Underground parking is available at an extra cost.

After several days staying in roadside motels it felt like a real treat to stay here. The rooms where very comfy and it was great watching the thunder and lightning tucked up in bed that night. We thought the on site restaurant was very good indeed and it was very helpful to have laundry facilities available when you’re on a long road trip.

Minor niggles around on-site parking but no biggy.

A safety deposit box would be a nice have.
Hours of restaurants and bar are sporadic, including the on-site coffee bar -- ie.... not open for lunch except on the weekend. Bar closes at 10pm... no lounge area.
Room service was ok but inconsistent - some days no towel service, bed not made but towels service provided, sink/counter top not cleaned.
Parking is provided but at least a block away and not a well it area - would be problematic during inclement weather. Underground parking available but at 16.50 per day.
Was not told at check-in to leave plate number for the off-site parking.
Not many dining options nearby - Windy Shores coffee shop across the street was great; nearby restaurant also has odd hours -- other dining is at in downtown area is ~ 10 minute walk, across the rail tracks -- one pedestrian crossing only a short walk from the hotel.
