I had to move room twice. The east wing was well worn and far from the fairmont standard. I stayed in the fairmont Vancouver and it was an entirely different experience. This did not feel like 5 star. The bed sheets were worn in my bed and had holes in them, so I asked for another room, that room was actually worse also with holes in the bed sheets. I then said I would leave and find another hotel and the manager put me up in the refurbished wing which was like an entirely different experience.

It was a wonderful experience overall. The room was clean, the hotel was beautiful, the check in experience was so smooth and enjoyable. They were flexible as I arrived early and they were able to accommodate an early check in and even upgraded me to one of the newly renovated rooms.

The room was facing the train station so very noisy at night. The room we for looked different than online- seems our room was original. The mirror in our room was dirty, as well as dusty tables.

My wife ordered the risotto dish but it was not only gross to look at but she could not eat it. First time at the Reign and she could not eat except a few French fries and a cheesecake at least the guy did not charge for the green sludge. Yuck!!
