Positives: The place was fine the only complaint really was that I paid for a queen room I was told it was a queen room and there is no way that was a queen size bed. I have a queen size bed at home so I know what they're like this was a double. But otherwise it was fine.

Positives: The room met expectations, the pullout couch was as expected 'a pull out couch' but the bed had a nice mattress and bedding. The first floor rooms had patio doors for a quick run to the car or fresh air, the AC/Heater kept the room at 72 degrees (our input) even though it was -5 outside. It was a good full buffet breakfast 7-11 (I think we left the hotel at 9) Good selection in the lobby store. Room had Keurig, microwave and fridge. We did a grocery store frozen lasagna in MW from the near by store and it turned out fine. 100 m from E.C.Row expressway. 500 m from the 401. Simple to get downtown. The staff was all great, phoned a local hairdresser for me and booked an appointment then printed out a map on to get there.

Negatives: TV channels were limited, should have brought HDMI cable to stream from my laptop.

Positives: The good: The staff were friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was good overall.

Negatives: The bad: There was nothing posted online when booking that said their pool was going to be closed during our stay or else we would not have booked here. We booked the room as nonrefundable so we could get a better rate but I was very disappointed to get an email after booking was confirmed to let us know that the pool would be closed and the room was offered at a reduced rate because of that. We were stuck at that point so we just went with it. I called them the day before arriving to ask if the pool would still be closed (left a message) and someone called me back when I couldn't answer, but didn't leave a voicemail? I thought that was rather unprofessional. The hotel is in desperate need of renovations. Just for starters, the carpets and walls throughout and the handrailing at the stairs are ABSOLUTELY FILTHY in this hotel. Like I said - desperate need of renovations.. or new housekeeping, I don't know. The TV just has basic cable with no guide available so you have no idea what's on and for some reason our TV was in Spanish. I fixed the Spanish issue, but the TV was so old that everything looked like it was hooked up with an antenna and not cable. The only proper description of this was that it looked very static-y, like there was poor reception.
