Positives:
Location is perfect, in the city center, close to metro station, Bell Arena and interesting restaurants in China Town. Reception staff was friendly. Breakfest was okay with fresh vaffels. You can go by bus 747 from YUL airport very close to the hotel.
Negatives:
I selected king room room with kitchen. It was equipped by very good and new appliances, oven, dishwasher, but there was catastrophic lack of dishware - something like 2 small glasses, 2 cups, 2 knives, 1 table spoon etc. No frying pan, nothing for baking in the oven if you want to use it. I also did not like connection door to the next room, which looked secure, but you can still hear much more from next room than if there is just a wall. And finally, the windows could not be opened, the only fresh air goes through AC and the humidity was very low (measured 25%). I had problems with sleeping is such dry air and my colleage in different type of room as well.

I really liked the room, the bed is amazingly comfortable;
the breakfast was rich and really good;
and the location is really nice, right next to the beating heart of Chinatown in Montreal, so good to eplore around!
Negatives:
I didn't like the fact that the air conditioning/heating vent in the room was positioned facing the bed, making it a little uncomfortable and ""windy"" if it was on. We wanted to keep the heat on but had to turn it of during the night to avoid sleeping like that and it wasn't the best option.

We arrived approximately three hours before check in and the lovely young man on the reception desk (Maxime Bolduc) checked with housekeeping and was able to check us in to our rooms rather than have us drop our luggage and check in later that afternoon.
Room size was standard for a Hampton Inn.
Breakfast was great and location was excellent. A short stroll to Notre Dame, you have Chinatown on the doorstep to the hotel lobby and parking was excellent particularly as we had a very large vehicle (GMX Yukon XL) which we had no issues manoeuvering down the ramps or into a suitably sized parking space.
Negatives:
Note: 'Queen sized' beds are as in the US - so not as big as Queen beds in locations outside of North America. Our mattresses did not fill up the full size of the bed frame and may have been double?

Positives:
Great location to visit Montreal historic places. Easy to reach everywhere on foot. Breakfast was great.
Negatives:
There was a crazy party on the 6th floor with young, drunken people. It was not suitable with little kids on the place. They were rude. They should have some guideline to have party rentals. I almost went to back to my home. After the crazy night, it was better.
