Positives:
Breakfast delicious with lots of choice on offer, including chocolate croissants! Enjoyed the rooftop terrace, the very clean, modern & creatively laid out room with great shower. Staff were warm, friendly and extremely helpful and efficient, especially when I forgot an item in the car and one of the valet parking staff escorted me offsite to retrieve it. Great location for proximity to Old Montreal, Chinatown, Place des Arts, etc.

-Great location close to old town
-Very well sound proofed. I did not hear any noise from outside/other rooms during my stay.
-Really comfortable bed

-Midweek breakfast buffet was only average. Hot food looked as though it has been sitting out for quite some time. Basic pastry/cereal options. Very underwhelming for the price. Would not include breakfast in my rate if I stayed again.
-Staff were a bit casual and unprofessional. I had a parcel delivered to the hotel during my stay. Reception phoned the room at 7.30pm to say it had arrived. The next morning when I went to reception to pick it up, the guy at the desk told me nothing had arrived and that he checked with his colleagues. He just shrugged his shoulders at me. I kicked up a fuss and refused to leave, and suddenly the parcel appeared from the room behind reception.

Positives:
The property was very nice, but some things were difficult for a senior traveler. The sliding doors in the room were rather heavy and hard to move. The coffee maker was up a bit high and set back making it hard to reach. I also had to use my flash to read the coffee maker, as it was in a very dark location. Lastly, the thermostat could not be set below 68. It was a very warm weekend and would’ve been nice to have the room a bit cooler. Otherwise, the itself was very nice.
Negatives:
Ordering breakfast was very confusing. The TV information stated that no reservation was required, but in fact you needed a reservation to get a $10 discount on breakfast. The restaurant staff were a bit abrupt at breakfast and actually almost knocked me over one time! The way I felt about the property, was that it was trying to be upscale, but missed out on catering to visitors in common ways, such as comfortable table and chairs (in the restaurant), and making the room comfortable for all aged visitors. I probably won’t stay at this property again, but would choose a hotel more like a Marriott, which tend to be very nice, but also have common sense in terms of meeting the needs of visitors.
