I travel for a living and this hotel does not convey a 5 star standard. Had a large stain on the office chair in room and was not noticed till we alerted them. The staff did forward an apology and a gesture and this made it a little more palatable, but

We travel quite a bit and always stay in luxurious hotels that are very expensive and genuinely lack any customer service at all. In contrast, this stay was a ten on every level, with exceptional customer service and excellent food and wine in the hotel restaurant; it was terrific. We will be traveling back and staying here again. Thank you!

Positives:
The hotel is well located in the golden mile district. Staff is friendly and the room (deluxe room) was large, so was the bathroom. We also liked the large windows, from the ceiling to the ground.
Negatives:
First, instead of a buffet, breakfast is served in the restaurant "Le Renoir" which is in the same building. It is not a buffet breakfast, but limited choice "à la carte".
Second, the hotel is a little old, you can see this everywhere: the reception, the elevator, the rooms, the carpet ... everything has an 80ies style.
Third, the gym is very small and there is no pool or any other amenity - so all in all a very "basic" hotel.
