the room freshener at top of bathroom door was horribly strong. Personally I wanted to leave but hubby wouldnt (he isnt bothered by odours) I tried to wrap a plastic bag around it. the only window doesnt open so had fan on through the night and noise very loud. Tried to sleep with head under covers but hard to do that. Slept poorly. Odd bedspread. Looks okay but didnt like material and felt uncomfortable even with sheet under it.
No coffee machine in room.
Owner/staff did not seem friendly and was very clear about rules. Made a point to say that the pet fee was not refundable. I applaud folks who do not charge a fixed pet fee. We have a small 12 year old well trained non shedding dog.
we thought that since the location was so close to the river that there would be a side street down to the water. could not find access in a couple of walks along the main road.

Staff were welcoming and spoke English very well. Unlike many chain hotels, they made the bed and provided clean towels every day. Wifi was good with no issues detected.
Negatives:
Shower controls needed careful adjustment to ensure a warm/hot shower. Went from HOT to COLD with small adjustments of the knob.

Quiet neighborhood, only 15 minutes from GP3R track, excellent value for the money.

Trois-Rivieres area is interesting. Pleasant old city with nice restaurants, bars and events.

It was hot that day (not the fault of the city or hotel) and we had trouble working the room air conditioner.
