The location was good. Upon entering Room 125, it looked clean. I went to meet my family for dinner. When I returned, there were little black bugs all over the surfaces. I went to the front desk to see if maybe there was some spray or something that he could do about the bugs. He went in a back room behind the desk and came out with a can of something. We went to the room and he sprayed. It was good for the night. Next day, same thing. I didn't even bother to try to get anything done about it.
Also, I paid for my 2 night stay with cash on arrival. I left my cc number with the clerk for incidentals. I had NO incidentals. After getting home the next day, my cc sends a text that Microtel has charged my credit card $91.19 on the day after I checked out.
At this point, I'd like a refund for my stay plus the $91.19 on my card. The total now, $272.60.
I would also like to speak with someone on a corporate level. I do not care to speak with the desk clerk at Microtel, Albertville, AL, ever again.

It was definitely a very good price for the accommodations offered. It was pretty quiet and overall well maintained. The room had great working station for me, which is important for remote working folks like myself. Also, the staff was very nice and friendly.
Negatives:
Three things I did not like were their TV set up. It's old school, with an antenna I think. They do not have smart TVs there. Also it wasn't dirty but it could use a good deep clean. The corners need cleaning, they were dusty. Everything else was great. Lastly, their breakfast was a joke. I saw it my first day there, and I didn't even go through there for the rest of my stay.
