Positives:
The food was tasty. This place not only serves a hot breakfast, but dinner and cocktails as well.
Negatives:
The place was doing renovation, so that definitely subtracted from the overall experience, but I do not blame them for that. It is a pet friendly hotel, which is a plus for the most part, but the dog dander floating around aggravated my allergies and asthma. I just need to remember to bring the meds with me next time. At some point in the middle of the night, the fire alarm went off and woke us up. It blared for a minute then, after we finally woke up and threw on clothes, it stopped. We were not sure if that meant, nevermind, go back to bed or still get out. I opened my room door, and the hall was full of smoke ... A particularly skunky smelling smoke that I remember always smelling when I visited my son's college dorm at University of Alabama.

Positives:
The breakfast and staff were good.
Negatives:
The first two floors were under remodeling that I didn’t know when I booked it. It was loud and noisy. They did provide new earplugs on the coverlet but the construction was very loud at 8 am and I couldn’t wear the earplugs waiting on a phone call. Having to keep the drapes pulled because of the cherry picker going up and down outside the window was irritating. I saw four dogs with patrons in the hallways and on the elevator on leashes and seemed to be well behaved. But in the night and early morning when the dogs started barking because the construction vehicle was beeping as it was backing up outside our window almost drove me crazy. The free alcohol to make up for the construction put too many people in a good mood too late into the night.

In spite of massive renovations, every part of my stay was excellent.
Negatives:
Due to construction vehicles, parking was a challenge, especially getting luggage into hotel. Had to climb down landscaping wall and lift/carry suitcase. I am 70+.

Superb
Positives:
Construction was ongoing, but I knew that when I booked the room. I simply set my alarm for 8:00 each morning to avoid being awakened by the noise.
India was especially helpful.
