A seating area with a sofa bed and a flat-screen TV is provided in each suite at Staybridge Suites Gulf Shores. The traditionally styled suites also offer an iPod docking station. Gulf Shores Staybridge provides a hot breakfast buffet each morning, as well as complimentary appetizers and drinks at the evening reception Monday - Wednesdsay. Barbecue grills and a convenience store are also available. Guests of Staybridge can swim in the outdoor pool or use the 24-hour fitness center. After working in the business center, guests can play a game of golf at one of the nearby championship courses.

Clean and comfortable, good location
Negatives:
Staff was short. I mentioned that the elevator door was closing in people and workers because the sensor wasn’t reopening the door. The morning staff lady told me I “had to be faster.” Could be very dangerous if a child was there. Door shuts matter what or who is in the way.

Great facility and breakfast, but...

Staff was terrible we arrived at 4:30pm after a 10 hour drive the attendant was missing left a sign that they were assisting a guest. I figured maybe there was only one person working so we waited patiently only to have 2 people arrive together clearly one of them could have been there to receive guests since check in time is 4pm
Our toilet wasn’t working when we got to our room we called as soon as we used it her response was “what happened did you use it?”
So we waited again for the “handyman” to show up. My husband ended up fixing it and had to fix it several times in the 2 nights we stayed. At one point we tried to use the lobby bathroom but that one is out of service.

Positives:
I didnt stay there because they didn't have my reservation from booking. I arrived to be told they couldn't find it and they had no comparable room available to accommodate us and id have to contact booking and deal with it myself. So I had to leave and drive down the road until I found another hotel and see if they had a room for us.

They didnt communicate with booking and i did not have a room reserved for us. Despite making the reservation months in advance.

It was really quiet and the room was very well laid out, roomy, supplied and clean.
Negatives:
It was a little musty, in need of a remod in the halls, little things in the room (like stove burners not heating up well enough to cook eggs), maybe ac filter change, nothing big.

Our stay was pleasant and...

I booked a 2 night stay at this location and upon arrival discovered the lack of cleanliness; however, we were too far away from home to leave that night. Therefore, we stayed 1 night and checked out early and did not stay the second night. The room was very dirty; hair was everywhere, the floors had obviously not been cleaned in quite some time, the room smelled like urine, which is not surprising because there was urine on the bathroom door that had not been cleaned. Additionally, there was feces outside the hotel door. The front desk staff told me I would have to contact the website where I booked the stay in order to request a refund. I did so, and the website contacted this location to discuss the issues with them and submit a refund request for the unused night. The location agreed to the refund. However, I have not received a refund. I have contacted the hotel 3 times at this point and have contacted the reservation website twice. The hotel claims that their system was down from a storm, but after 20 days I have still not received a refund or heard anything else from the hotel about it.

Positives:
The staff and breakfast was amazing! They even have a social event during the week,but I forgot about it, but complimentary drinks! The dog area was very spacious and enclosed too. My dog was able to walk around a good bit after such a long drive there.
Negatives:
Only issue I could find is there aren't many hooks to hang towels or even wet clothes on. Being near the beach and having a pool,I found we needed space to hang dry, but I ended up just washing the clothes since there was also complimentary washing services too, so not even that much of an inconvenience.
