Clarion Inn Sheffield Muscle Shoals

Negatives: THE SPRAY FOR THE WAFFLES DID NOT WORK AS EVERY WAFFLE STUCK TO PAN AND HAD TO BE PEELED OFF THE IRON. BLAND TASTELESS EGGS AND SAUSAGE WAS LIKE DRIED OUT RUBBER. TOILET IN OUR ROOM DID NOT REFILL IN THE TANK, WE HAD TO FILL TANK WITH WATER FROM SINK USING ICE BUCKET. NO ICE MACHINE ON 3RD FLOOR. THE HALLS OF THE HOTEL HAVE NO AIR AND IT WAS HUMID AND HOT. THE FLOORS ARE DIRTY ALL THROUGH THE HOTEL. THE GROUNDS OF THE HOTEL NEED TO BE MOWED AND PARKING LOT CLEANED, AS TRASH IS SCATTERED EVERYWHERE. WENT TO FRONT DESK FOR CHANGE TO USE FOR VENDING MACHINES AND WAS TOLD THEY DON'T HAVE ANY. IF I HAD DRIVEN BY LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO STAY, I WOULD HAVE BYPASSED THIS HOTEL AS IT LOOKS NEGLECTED WITH OVERGROWN WEEDS AND GRASS.

Negatives: We was put on the third floor and the hallways felt like a sauna! Cleaning girl said the AC was broken. The room AC worked but wasn’t able to cool the room good. Ice machine was broken. Wasp nest all around the pool area. We’ve stayed here multiple times but safe to say this was our last!

Negatives: It was out dated. I never once saw a house keeper or janitor the entire time I was there. And there is no fridge in the rooms. That was inconvenient

Negatives: Our room was on the third floor this time and it was way too hot for a full 24 hours. This has never been a problem in the past. Management has got to turn on those AC units before guests get there!

Negatives: The pool the smell of marijuana and no refrigerator in room !!!!

Negatives: The pool wasn't open even though it is June! They were working on it. There was also a tree down in the parking lot that needs to b cleaned up

Negatives: Where to begin. The pictures for this property should be considered false advertising. You can tell this used to be a very ncie hotel with ball rooms for events, and a bar/grill. It is a very big hotel. The pool was "OPEN" but water was green and looked very nasty. There were trash and beer cans all over the courtyard and outside (in the back of the hotel). Very obvious people live here, it is what it is, but they do not respect the facilities. The room was clean and bed was comfy, but the desk chair was disgusting. Not just stains but obvious of unknown substances on it. Carpet was coming up by the bathroom door making a trip hazard. I was a bit nervous about safety in general as we had a sliding door, the front door and a connecting room door. Also the door from the outside did not lock so anyone could enter as they please. The remote to the tv was nasty and had food stains? The tv did not work and was in Spanish, called to ask for help with it and they said they'd be right there and no one ever came, literally called around 9 pm and we ended up falling asleep watching a movie on our phones around 11:30 so we gave them ample time. T-Mobile signal was horrible, no 5G and WIFI signal is horrible, probably cause the building is so big. The breakfast was fine, but the tables and chairs to sit at were horrible and disgusting. Felt nasty eating there. My kids had waffles and cereal and fruit but that was it. The front desk staff dressed as if they came in on his day off and the owner/manager was even worse, basketball shorts and a tee with holes in it. They were nice and all but not the professionalism I would assume the hotel would have, dress code wise. Which explains how the hotel is run anyway. The bar/grill was closed too so dont expect to us it. Patio furniture was in horrible shape. Trees, grass and bushes were over grown and made it hard to walk on the walk ways. Glad we only stayed one night, cause that's all I could handle.

Negatives: The air conditioner in several rooms and hallways did not work, the ceiling was collapsing in several spots with orange cones blocking off places, and there is an awful fishy smell on the second floor. We ended up checking out before the end of our stay.
