The creek was pretty

Sedona was the final stop on our tour of Arizona and I wanted something special. Unfortunately this hotel left a very sour taste in the mouth. We had a room in the lodge and it was small and dark. The patio for our room faced east so in the afternoon it had a gloomy aspect and our view was a fence. It was also overlooked by the patio for the room next door so there was no privacy and is overlooked by the resort next door.
We did ask at reception for a room with a better aspect but the receptionist mumbled a bit and said they would get back to us which they never did. Reading feedback on this site I would imagine that guests complaining is a regular event. If the room rate had been reasonable I would not have complained but I have stayed in far better rooms for a fraction of the price and this hotel was definitely not worth the extortionate amount we paid of $2,500 for 3 nights!!!! Drinks in bar very expensive. Parking fee is expensive and in the end we parked in the free parking lots which are walkable from the hotel. Due to rubbish patio we did go to the pool but the smell of skunk was terrible. We will definitely not be coming back to this hotel. There are plenty of other places in Sedona at a much more reasonable price.
