I did not used this hotel and as I was trying to check in the manager, said that they are sold out and something must’ve been wrong with the Booking.com, but on my credit card statement, I was still charged $147 even though I did not get any room there.

The Sonesta Tempe Downtown was simple, but the basics met my expectations: clean, safe, quiet, and close to downtown Tempe! The staff was especially kind despite a busy Final Four week.
Negatives:
The AC stopped working randomly so woke up in a sweat but it kicked back on. Can't complain much. It was great!

Used booking.com to book this hotel. There was an extra charge on my bill for a pet fee. I never booked to have a pet stay with me nor did I have one in the room. Neither the hotel nor booking.com wanted to remove the charge. Both the hotel and booking.com blamed each other for the extra charge and neither followed up with me to have it removed/refunded.

We left early the day after our arrival and came back late. Our room was not cleaned. When I asked the front desk I was told that cleaning was ONLY DONE UPON REQUEST. I requested the room to be cleaned the next day, i reminded the front desk before we left in the morning and they aknowledge the request, when we returned the room was not cleaned, we didn't have towels or toilet paper and everything was dirty, the front desk said that the cleaning people had already left and there was nothing they could do. PICK ANOTHER HOTEL IN THE AREA, this is not worth your money.
