Our room was spacious and clean. The room was relatively well insulated from outside noise amd was well appointed.
Negatives:
Sketchy neighborhood with lots of foot traffic by homeless folks. While pressure from the shower was good the temperature of the water never could be raised above lukewarm.

Every day there is a full breakfast in a very large and pretty breakfast room. Coffee and tea in the lobby. Our room was on the 3rd floor as per our request and we enjoyed it and it was very nice. The location is close to the freeway acesss but not near any freeway noise and it is close to downtown Arcata, and also close to downtown Eureka, and not far from Trinadad or Moonstone Beach. . We had a great time while we were there. We woud stay again.
Negatives:
The fact that someone on the second floor snuck in 2 pets and they barked while you walked by their room. I am so happy we were not near that and our room was on the third floor not above them luckily. The hotel said they were made aware of this by someone and were able to talk to the occupants and it stopped. Certainly not the hotel's fault. The parking lot gets very full, and hardly any spots left in the evening.
