My room look like it was just remodeled but the bathroom didn't. Cracks in the side of the shower stalls and paint in the sinks.

Our room was clean and they seem to be updating but the shower didn’t work! Couldn’t turn on the knob for water! There was stuff laying all around and I guess they’re remodeling but I wouldn’t have stayed if I could have cancelled. Other places around here that look much better.

For breakfast, the only fresh fruit was bananas, no apples or orange. The orange drink was Tang. There were no bacon or sausage. The neighbor motel had guest with TV on all night, we could hear them with window closed.

Stay Away If You Want Your Deposit Back
I stayed at Super 8 by Wyndham Arcata for two nights during the second week of April, and it’s now May 27 — over a month and a half later — and I still haven’t received my deposit back.
After waiting patiently for almost a month, I called customer service on May 14 and was put on hold for 40 minutes. When someone finally answered, I was told that the front desk staff forgot to process the refund when we checked out. I was assured it would take about a week for the deposit to appear in my account.
Well, it’s been two weeks since then — and still nothing.
I tried calling again, only to be told that customer service “can’t help me” and I now need to contact the hotel directly. I live in Canada, so calling the U.S. means additional cellular charges — just to ask for MY OWN MONEY BACK.
This experience has been nothing but frustrating, unprofessional, and disappointing. Unless you’re okay with potentially losing your deposit for no reason, I strongly do not recommend this hotel. I will never stay at a Super 8 by Wyndham again. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had with any hotel chain.
