I would return in the future.
Negatives:
The heater thermostat in the room was not working, so the room was rather cold. There were a few stray hairs in the bathtub. Complimentary water bottles in the room would be a nice touch.

We've stayed here numerous times and love the location. Easy walk to good wine bars, restaurants and shopping. El Camino is finally finished so it's much nicer with all the construction completed.
Negatives:
Unfortunately it has new owners who have destroyed the ambiance of the lobby to the rooms. Super sad to see a great classic hotel from years gone by that had been kept in good condition (hall way carpets need replacing still) 'modernized' (for lack of words). Unsure where the decor is headed but if it wasn't for the location, we may not return. Not optimistic this hotel will be in business long. Why they took a great hotel and made the rooms like other products in the market is illogical. Beautiful millwork painted over and a modern front desk for circa 1920's hotel. Ugh.

I had my own room and my parents had theirs, the elevator did not work we found out after we checked in and my parent is handicapped very hard for her to walk down and up stairs they only stayed one night. Wasn’t refunded for the 2nd night they had to go to another hotel
