I made reservations, and paid up front. I had lost my ID, but called the hotel and told them I went to the DMV and got a print out. They said it was fine. After driving two hours with my children, I arrived at the hotel. We were staying in town for a soccer tournament. Needless to say, when I arrived, they told me I needed ID. I let them know that staff had told me it was ok. I had a school ID anf a Costco card with my picture and the DMV printout and they still said no. I had to drive 2 hours back home, then back the next morning. They did refund my room , but my time and gas and lack of sleep was not compensated. Hotel looked nice, but experience was terrible. Manager would not even come up to chat.

This is the second time my mother and I have stayed at Sparks. I read all the reviews regarding the surrounding Hotel all said dirty, roaches, sketchy areas. Sparks reviews were clean,safe and breakfast, clean all is trure

Great location and plenty of parking. Room was clean and well appointed.
Negatives:
The hotel has no control over this, but the rooms that face the front face an Asian buffet restaurant, and our room smelled like fried food until about 10 p.m. It was almost overwhelming.
