Window failed to shut, as the room was on the first floor this seemed unsafe. Room smelled of incense. The incense caused me to have breathing problems. The pillows smelled of mold. Terrible experience and will not return.

The room was very clean, bed really comfortable.

The staff telling me only as I checked in that the elevator didn’t work. No refund allowed. There is more but I’m too tired to write it out. I stayed - room was clean bed great. exterior wasn’t. Screen door and drapes torn etc. it’s old.

My room was on the first floor and there was some partying noise in the lobby but it stopped around 10:30 or 11.

Positives:
Solid location, about 20 min from central and downtown Berkeley by bus, about 45 min- 1 hr walking. Room was clean, checkin and checkout very easy, hotel held baggage all day without a problem.
Negatives:
Fitness room had a non-functional machine and breakfast is nothing special.
