There was an old Hollywood history to it. The location was good

This is no more than a Motel 6 with a different name. There was no microwave in rooms, towels were old and worn, and beds were uncomfortable. Had to travel across the hotel parking lot just to get ice in the laundry mat. OVERPRICED

Negatives:
Not actually “pet friendly”. 99% of people staying here are probably going to Universal - it’s promoted all over their lobby. People traveling with pets may see they allow pets and book here. They will be sad to learn upon check-in that you are forced to sign an addendum saying you will not leave your pet unattended in the room ever. If this rule is broken you pay a $300 fee. This is a way to get an additional $300 out of people under duress.
If you have a room near a laundry or maintenance room you will hear the door slamming even during the night.
Also, the mattresses are awful - so cheap and hard.

We loved the location, how cute the hotel was and the shuttle made it feel like a real vacation as we didn’t have to worry about driving anywhere. We loved there were a few good places to walk to as well. We loved coming back each day to our room freshened up as well!
