Close to shops and the beach. Room was fine, not great but not terrible. Good value for money compared to other places in Carlsbad.

TV remote didn't work, beds were not that comfortable, shower had someone else's hair in it, and the trains honk right behind the motel, which is very loud.

The owner is not emotionally stable, had to call the police. WiFi is not working good. Bad drain. Hot/cold water doesn’t adjust properly. While I was staying here I saw police cars coming to this facility multiple times.

The male owner was very disrespectful to me.

The hotel room felt like I was still outside. I could hear the wind.
I tried asking for help with the TV, since none of the buttons work. You can't even turn off the TV with the remote you gotta get up and press the power button on the TV. Asked for help with the TV remote I got yelled at by the male owner.

Clean, comfortable bed, quiet area of town. You could park right outside the room.
Negatives:
Very bad internet connection, constantly turning on and off Room was OK for only one person, not big enough for two. No coffee.

The owner was super friendly and nice, place was in a really good area and very clean. Felt very safe and comfortable there. Was also fun to see the owner and his son ride bikes around together and have him hangout with him while he worked. 10/10

The place needs a lot of attention. Some guests do not follow non-smoking rules. They need to put grip bars in shower area. A $30 fee for a dog was outrageous.
