Ayres Hotel Costa Mesa/Newport Beach

Negatives: I didn't like the slow wifi but that's to be expected at a hotel. I also didn't like the high fees included if you get room service from the restaurant in the hotel.

Negatives: Carpets had a bad smell , strong chemical smell , just feel they are old and need to be removed . Also they had contruction going on and pools where closed and dinning area had ladders all over the place

Negatives: Parking was expensive and a nightmare. Cars parking over the lines and you can't get out. Staff often took best parking spots. For that cost would have preferred valet parking

Negatives: Overpriced for a 3 start plus parking fee is high and unnecessary since the garage was empty.

Negatives: The elevator was a bit sketchy. Lots of weird noise came out of it so we tried not to use it much. The pool was under construction but there was one available next door. We did not make the trip.

Negatives: Noise from airplanes when in courtyard or windows open.

Negatives: That we got stuck in a dog room when we didn’t bring a dog and it was right next to the fire escape door and exit door. Someone threw their bags down from the 2nd floor stairs laughed about it and talked about it at 5am. The window rattled and the floor stomps from the guests who stayed above us was terrible. You could hear EVERYTHING!! In the hallway constant noise because the exit door to the patio area was right next to our room too. We paid the exact same as other guests and got a terrible room for a terrible nights sleep. And WHY on earth is there a charge for guests who check in after 10pm and call in advance to let you know about the check in. If you buy an airport, you are terrible at customer service if this is your policy. It didn’t happen to us but to the room guests next to us. We heard them from their room talking about it. We deserve a refund or free night stay in a NICE normal room. The room looked NOTHING like it did online. Nothing.

Negatives: Windows did not have full drapes only sheers with have drape. I stayed in a rood at the front where street lights beamed in the window all night.

Negatives: Parking fee was ridiculous. 24.00 a day. For what? The security NOT walkiny around? The lady at the front desk who checked us in said it was 24.00 for parking but does not specify per night! And we had to go on their lame app to pay for the parking! Like they could not even do that for the guest! Especially with all the construction going on and having to reroute different ways in the hotel.
