the check-in by kiosk was horrible and after that, I could never find any staff to answer any of my questions

Check in was via video kiosk to some outsourced call center. Not only did this take substantially longer to process, it was unable to issue a keycard and had to call onsite staff to do this. No noise insulation and noisy a/c unit meant bad nights sleep.

Rooms are nicely upgraded with LVP flooring, which I really like as it's easier to clean. Very quiet. The video desk agent too a little getting used to, but was very fast and efficient.

The experience I had checking in and out was not personal at all. I found it a bit creepy having to talk to someone trough a screen to check in. This would be ok for very late at night. I get it could be dangerous. I will be looking elsewhere

No hot water, had to shower with cold water, roach in the closet, and bathroom had a bad moisture odor.

Yes, the bedding was stained, and the sofa bed was very warned down. It had a rip and found hairs all over the carpet. The check in process was also not so good. It's done electronically and you could barely understand the worker.

Absolutely weird check in by a guy from Pakistan or outer Mongolia that spoke English as a second language. He was broadcasting from a computer screen so it was extremely off the charts. Came close to walking out while trying to understand him.

Positives:
Clean, close to stores and somewhat close to UC Davis, had almond milk available at breakfast. Bathrooms updated. Bed comfortable. Temperature of room regulated well, fridge in room and both not too noisy.
Negatives:
View of trash dumpster. Breakfast coffee ran out. Digital kiosk front desk manager took some getting used to. Some plugs and lamp in room didnt work. Lighting felt odd and not homey feel to the room. Traffic almost every time when driving there from Davis.
