I’m betting the rooms in back are quiet
Positives:
Great location in an area where there are not a lot of hotels. Also they have an amazing attached nifties-fifties diner that has great food and prices. Highly reccomend
Review
Great find in the Mt Shasta pass area. Great hotel Diner combo - fair prices too!
Positives:
Great bed and pillows, loved how quiet it was even near the freeway, the double windows really helped cut the freeway noise. Extremely clean facilities and easy parking. Friendly staff.
Negatives:
I would have liked a coffeemaker in our room, not a big deal but the first cup is nice to enjoy in bed.
Review
Pleasantly surprised how nice, quiet and convenient the place was, and nearby exploring trails and the town of Dunsmuir
Negatives:
The joining dinner where you check in is a bit shabby and the clerk who checks you in who is also the only person working the dinner was not clean and his clothes were not clean
Review
Negatives:
No elevator, no one to help. Checking at the diner, not at the property.

Positives:
Simple hotel right off I-5 which was perfect for us after driving all day from Oregon. The staff were incredibly friendly and quick at setting us up with our room.
Negatives:
Nothing really. It’s not the newest hotel but everything did its role for what we needed. If you are a simple traveler like us, you will do just fine.

Convenient
Positives:
The room was very nice and big. Really clean. Bed was comfortable. Even though you are off the highway, I didn't hear the traffic. It has microwave and fridge in the room. I liked having Penny's cafe right in the parking lot. Since I'm older and was traveling alone, I did not want to go far in a new place. The food is excellent. Cooked right in front of you. It's diner food so don't expect gourmet meals. Good price too.
Negatives:
nothing that comes to mind.

Very nice place, I will stay again.
Positives:
Location was convenient for my needs

Positives:
Clean and comfortable. Offered buffet style breakfast.

Close to town to visit shops and restaurants.
Positives:
The room was clean.
Negatives:
There was no coffee machine in the room. This has been pretty much standard in all the hotels we’ve stayed at, so it was surprising to find there wasn’t one here (although later I noticed they also didn’t list it among the room facilities).
There’s no hotel lobby (you check in and get your key at the diner next door), so there was also nowhere to make coffee or relax outside the room.
The Wi-Fi didn’t work properly.

Positives:
Easy on and off freeway. The blackout curtains were the best I’ve ever had at any hotel. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
Negatives:
We were in a 2nd floor room and there are only stairs. I didn’t realize that when booking the room or I would have requested 1st floor. The room appeared clean, but we later found trash that was not ours.
This hotel is connected with the diner on the property. You check in there. The woman checking us in was so rude! Total lack of customer service. I had completed online check-in and she made me sign things all over again, was not apologetic.
Review
The blackout curtains were the best part of my stay. If staying in the area again, I’d try another hotel.
Positives:
Easy access to freeway, roadside diner on site open 24 hours, friendly and chatty staff. Check-in was at the diner with diner staff, so depending on when you arrive you may need to wait.
Negatives:
Tucked away from everything else, have to drive down the road to get to town.
Review
Good option if traveling through the area.
Positives:
Great comfortable bed! Room very clean. well maintained motel. Allowed dogs.
Negatives:
No elevator. Check in not attached to motel. Key cards did not easily work. If it was cold or raining it would not have been pleasant to check in & then go outside & lug suitcases up to second floor. We are seniors.
Review
Comfortable bed & clean room. Check in & restaurant adjacent/near but not attached to the motel.
Positives:
Safe and quiet
Negatives:
Nothing

Perfect stay. Clean and quiet
Positives:
Very clean. Staff very helpful. Comfortable room.
Negatives:
Location is about 2 miles out of town. Need to drive to restaurants / businesses. If possible, request room on the east side of building to minimize noise from freeway (the west side faces the freeway - windows are double-paned so noise is minimized, but east side would be even better).
Review
Comfortable hotel with everything you would expect.
