Positives:
I liked that there was a gate to the parking area, which made me feel like my car was more secure. The bed was comfortable and came with a variety of pillow options. There were many different seat options.
Negatives:
The room I was first given had a broken lock. No guest should be assigned to a room with a broken lock, especially in a motel. The check-in process was done via a virtual agent, which felt impersonal and - along with the neighborhood - made me question the safety of the area. I was excited to take a bath until I realized that the jets were full of mold, meaning even if I did not want the jets I would get mold in the bath (I did not take a bath).

It was a place to stay and we were tired.
Negatives:
To start with, the web site said the location was 11 miles from Salinas when, in reality, it was 24 miles away. When we got there, though it hadn't been listed anywhere, we were asked to pay an $11 parking fee. Miles from anywhere else, what the heck was that for? I flat said "NO, you need to waive that." Once the registration fiasco was complete we weren't able to get in the room without help. Then, after saying they'd waive the ridiculous parking fee, they charged by credit card anyway!
Later on, a credit showed up but I don't trust them and will watch my statement carefully.

The front desk guy was very nice and help us with the room TV. Room was clean . Very good location
Negatives:
The orange juice was not fresh , about to go bad. The cereal was old , not crispy ,tasted old . Beside that we didn't like to have the manager coming into the breakfast room and ask us our room number and name, after that he stayed seating in the breakfast room. The front desk guy was very nice and help us with the room TV. Room was clean . Very good location.

Room was comfortable and HVAC system worked well.
Noise was kept to a minimum.
Negatives:
There was no elevator in this two-story property.
I'm 75 and in good shape, but I would have preferred to
use an elevator to schlep my suitcase/backpack upstairs.
