Will definitely return
Positives:
The room is decent sized. The bed was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the pet policy, though the rate was a bit high. The area is quiet
Negatives:
Charging $15 for parking in a residential area with plenty of on street parking seemed a bit much. Rates were high, but the hotel seemed like a 1960s motel. The bathroom was large but had only the basics swimming in empty space. Charging $3 for a small bottle of water is unbelievable.

Superb
Positives:
Cleanliness is one of the most important factors that make or break my stay at places. Our room was very clean, no spots to be seen on the bed sheets, and bathroom amenities were great too. We loved that there was a small bar on site as well as a restaurant!
Negatives:
The location is a bit far off from DTSB, so if you don't have a car to move around in, this place might be a little rough for you.

Great vibes, clean room, and...
Positives:
Room was clean but quite worn, including flooring they had become unstuck.
Negatives:
Public facilities very dirty, bathrooms had clogged toilets and vomit that had not been cleaned up, even over night. Not what you would expect for more than $400/night. Was more like a 2-3 star property.

Positives:
Our room was comfortable and clean with plenty of storage space. There are comfortable seating spaces around the pool area and the bar has a chill vibe.
Negatives:
This is a motel, which is fine, if that's how you treat it. It has always been a motel, yet Hilton is charging fancy hotel prices for rooms where privacy is limited and noise abounds. It is more absurd that it is a motel (motor+hotel), away from the downtown, and has at least one parking space per room, yet they add on a $15 per day parking fee to an already high room rate. It's a tourist town in California. Everyone is going to drive.
My experience with the desk staff was nice - a friendly guy checked us in and delighted in banter, but several members of my family who checked in separately found the person they spoke with to be very rude and brusque.

Convenient, Pretty, Pricey
Positives:
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Staff was also very quick to address and solve my concerns.
Negatives:
Some details inside the room were a bit dated and could use some sprucing up to feel more modern and cohesive with the overall vibe of the hotel environment. I did not like that there was only one chair at the table. If two people stay in the room there should be 2 chairs so we can each sit at the table to eat together.

Classy and Comfortable home away...
Positives:
We enjoy the Leta very much. Our daughter is a student at UCSB an its fantastic to have a nice hotel with comfortable beds, good restaurant and bar and nice grounds to relax and enjoy. The Leta is also a perfect size hotel for us. We normally bring our pups and its wonderful to have the front patio and not an overwhelming amount of people. We'll be joining you again beginning of Nov.
I will say there does happen to be an odor coming from our hotel bathroom sink and faucet each time. Knowing the water quality is so poor in these areas, figuring that has something to do with it.
Thanks, Jill Dawson

Negatives:
There was a really bad smell like marijuana coming from rooms near us that kept us up. They should not allow people to smoke pot or any other substance.
