I’m physically handicapped so I felt there should have been another bar in the shower to hold onto. Also, I wish there was a small microwave in my room.

I would definitely stay at the Hermosa Beach location again when I visit my daughter and her family!

I loved the location, you could walk to all the bars and nightlife stuff
Close to food and stores too

Beds were incredibly stiff
Room barely came with any space to put stuff down, no drawers or closet to put your clothes or even your suitcase
When my friends and I came back from the bar area around 1 am we came in and the person at the front desk made a joke to other people sitting in the lobby “somebody won’t be waking up early for breakfast”

I do not like that they charge $20 for parking! That is ridiculous since you are traveling and obviously have a vehicle. So there is no way around not paying it.

We liked that breakfast was available every morning - Waffle station, bread, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, fruit cups, yogurt, coffee, tea. Each night there was a hot water station with tea and hot cocoa. We could see the ocean from our balcony. We also liked the location of the hotel (quick walk to stores/shops, restaurants, and the beach) and our room was very clean. Very comfortable hotel.
Negatives:
The breakfast items weren't labeled. As a vegetarian it was difficult to know what was in each food and there were no vegetables at breakfast. There were no labels for Vegan or Gluten Free options.
Some of the front desk staff were friendly and greeted us and other staff ignored us when we would come in.

The location was near the venue for the music festival we attended.
Negatives:
The breakfast was merely some snacks and water in a to go bag. This was disappointing. We chose Hampton Inn because there is usually a decent breakfast. Our room adjoined another room and the person next to us was very loud. She was on her phone late at night and early in the morning talking so loudly that we could hear every word in our room. It was disruptive to our sleep.

This “hotel” is being renovated. There is construction material on the ground level, including the office area where the check-in/office area is partitioned-off by plastic.
The elevator is non-operational…the sign says it needs required upgrading (code???).
The so called “breakfast” which we normally associated with the Hampton Inns consisted of bottled water and a muffin in a “to-go” plastic bag. There was coffee.
The hotel should not be operational until the renovations are complete. It would seem the work would go a lot faster and smoother without having to work around unhappy guests not told of the current situation when booking.
Was revenue the reason. Maybe for a smaller chain this would be OK.
But the Hampton Inn under the Hilton umbrella?
We have no complaints with your staff considering the situation they were working under.
Again, thus was an unpleasant experience for all of us.

Positives:
Location. Clean. The bed was super comparable!! Staff was nice and friendly.
Negatives:
Being remodeled. Elevator wasn’t working which made it difficult for my mom who has mobility issues. Breakfast was sack lunch.
Our window faced the property wall which was depressing.
