A little expensive overall, and I notice a $45 charge on my invoice for parking which wasn’t disclosed at check in. They force you to do valet parking so in addition to the paid parking we tipped the valets - extra costs.

We really enjoyed the stay at Holiday inn! The front desk checked us in early at 12 because the room was available. It was a huge favor for us after a 24 hours trip from Hanoi Vietnam to LA! All staff were very friendly and kind. We also used the guest laundry and the fitness room. We will definitely stay here again!

The parking fee could be a little bit cheaper.

I liked that the property was 10 minute drive to Universal Studios and it was about 5-7 minutes walk to Ovation Mall and other Hollywood attractions.
Negatives:
I did not like the high valet charges per day with no other type of parking option. I also did not like how the bathroom did not have any towel racks and our AC was not working properly.

The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel staff was very friendly. We chose this hotel because of its close walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl. We heard parking was a challenge at the Bowl, and since we came from out of town, we opted to hoof it from the hotel to the show we were attending.
Negatives:
The hotel lobby and dining area were being revamped and there were tarps and construction crew around. The area around the elevator is in a narrow hallway and was often congested with people. At one point, there was a large staff meeting in that area, which should have been conducted in a location more out of the way of guests. The elevator was also quite slow, and we couldn't easily find a stairwell so we waited for the elevator each time. Our room was located right next to the elevator, which was noisy at times. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, it would have been nice to have a room in a nicer location. Breakfast was good quality but more options would have been welcome for the price.
