we are placed on first floor or ground floor and it was smelling as urine outside of the rooms. unfortunately they placed us the first two rooms close to the front door which is not locked so everyone comes and pees i guess. Really bad urine smell.
Negatives:
Better service at the front desk i was ignorant when i asked for warm water and they were not aware that o reserved two rooms so they automatically gave me once which stressed me a bit but the front desk girl was corrected.

Positives:
Located on Main Road adjacent to a small inlet beach. About 10 min walk into centre of Laguna Beach. Corridors look in need of a refresh and room was quite bare and stark. Bed was comfortable. Rooftop Bar/Restaurant was nice. Staff were friendly.
Negatives:
Needed a decor refresh but maybe that was the look they are after.

The bed was way too SOFT! I am writing this in pain. It was a giant pillow with no support. It absolutely jacked us up! I wish I would have just laid on the ground. to be fair, we prefer a stiffer bed. way soft, felt like a inverted taco as I am a face down sleeper.
We were on second floor. I believe the staff started working in a storage room above us at about 6 A.M. It was two hours of people walking around way too early.. Very loud! It wouldn't have been a big deal as I had planned to surf early, instead, I was up all night with a back pain so I cancelled. I sound like a crybaby!
On a good note, the staff was supper friendly and helpful!!

The old Californian Spanish architecture is quaint and location next to the beach and walking distance to all the touristy spots is great.
Negatives:
Thin walls. You can hear every door shut. People’s conversations above you, next door, in the hallways. Scratchy and pilled sheets. Mattress was really squishy.
