This hotel located right in the middle of Korea Town. We were able to walk around the area for food at any time. Streets are busy but not as sus or dangerous even as a tiny woman. There are people walking around just like you.
Negatives:
Shower leaked out all over the floor. Tiles missing in the elevator. Floor squeaks. No Microwave, unless you asked for it then someone carry it to your room. No desk, or space to eat or set out your stuff. Comforter ripped in multiple spots. No parking.

The rooms are simple but I appreciate the character of the hotel. The lobby is beautiful and the complimentary wine in the evening is a nice touch. The staff is incredible.

Starting at around 11pm, you hear extremely loud bass from someone's party, so loud that even earbuds can't block it out. Sleeping is a challenge

The staff was amazing the charm of the 1920s Hollywood in the room was exactly what I love I didnt wanna leave. I was a local author at the LA Times Festival of books and it was only a six minute Uber ride to USC so the location was perfect the wine rece

The music in the lobby was too modern for my taste--wouldn't want "Twenties" tunes either, though. Mellow classical would have been more soothing.
