Positives:
The coffee/tea bar was great. Hotel smelled great as well. Location was very central.
Negatives:
Nothing the hotel could control. Just that the surrounding area was a little desolate.

The location and the staff were great. Super helpful and also available to questions. We had the Santa Monica suite and it was larger with a dining table and sink/bar counter on the side. They had a Fellow kettle which is nice touch.
Negatives:
Overall the place was nice but only a couple of minor points. The lobby is really small. Think their focus is more pool/restaurant. Wish the room has some extra coffee mugs. It’s great to have all that counter space and kettle but no way to optimize it. A couple extra amenities like complementary tea bags and a couple of mugs would gave been nice.

The Kimpton is conveniently located near the La Brea Tarpits and multiple restaurants, is clean and comfortable and has pleasant staff, is pet friendly, and has a pleasant coffee/tea lounge area that is small children friendly.
Negatives:
Limited pool hours—we were hoping for an evening swim with our grandchildren but the pool closes at 6 pm. As the pool is located within the roof top restaurant, that time makes sense, but it was still a disappointment as we arrived too late to get in any pool time that day.

Room, staff, food, view, quiet. Walking distance to the Peterson Automotive Museum.
Negatives:
Lacking signage on the building and loading zone was small. A few abandoned buildings making it look like a sketchy area.
