I usually try not to provide bad reviews but if you do decide to get a room here make sure to avoid the ocean facing (especially the southern side)
The hotel is situated right next to a very loud bar with awful karaoke into the night.
The rooms are far from sound insulated and we can hear the barking dog next door (it is pet friendly) the couple upstairs and the very active street all night.
Not the greatest hotel for a peaceful vacation.

Loved everything but the waterproof bed pillows. I understand the concept, just makes me way to hot when trying to sleep

The hotel was really nice, clean, with great amenities. We had a sea view and it was nice but there were many homeless people in front of the hotel screaming all the night. The room was cozy, but the queen bed was too small for 2 people sharing one bed. Santa Monica Pier is 5 minutes walking and you can find really good mexican restaurants on the street. But between the hotel and the beach there are 2 motorways.
Negatives:
The size of the beds and the "paper walls". You could hear absolutely everything from the other room and the corridor. Plus from outside.
