Positives:
The room was clean, modern and tasteful. It had great facilities and the staff were really friendly and helpful, suggesting things to do and places to eat. They even had electric bikes free to use for hotel guests, which we used and had a lovely ride along the cycle path near the beach.. Excellent location and breakfast snacks included. Would highly recommend

Great location, lovely rooms and...
Positives:
It’s been updated recently and it’s esthetically pleasing. You can capture some cute photos for social media. The staff were really nice and available 24/7. The room was small but comfortable for 3. I also really enjoyed the products inside the bathroom, they seemed like really good quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Plus they were full size bottles, so no need to bring your toiletries. No mini fridge so plan for that. The lobby had a small grab and go breakfast with muffins, granola bars, and fruit. I also really enjoyed they had a Nespresso machine in the lobby to use with Nespresso coffee. Way better tasting than the coffee in the room. I think the updates to the hotel are really really nice but I wouldn’t pay more than 200 a night that’s just my opinion of what it’s worth with what you get.
Negatives:
The location was a little sketchy. We walked to the beach each day we were there and I didn’t feel safe after the sun went down. I felt my car was safe though, and I felt safe at the hotel.. It only has one small entrance into the motel area and your car is parked right next to your room so your car is safe but once you leave the motel grounds, there are homeless people walking around. I would suggest walking down the neighborhoods to get to the beach , pacific street was a nice walk, nice homes, friendly locals. I wish there was something close to walk to for breakfast. There was a Starbucks about a five minute walk but no sit down restaurant in the area. The walk to the beach was 20 minutes, and there are a LOT of steep hills so be warned. But we made it work even with a stroller. I also didn’t know there was no mini fridge in the room, but if you have an ice chest, they do have an ice machine to keep your food cold. Maybe because it’s an older style motel it is quite loud being right next to Lincoln road, you can hear the cars going by all night. Which didn’t bother me a whole lot it was almost like a white noise, and we slept with the windows open for cold air since there’s no AC.
