Positives:
The location is awesome. The bed was very comfortable. They gave us a handicap room as one of us is in a wheelchair and it was great and had a large bathroom that was easy to maneuver. Breakfast was wonderful, great coffee and it was a full breakfast buffet.
Negatives:
The rooms were smaller than I anticipated, but nonetheless, it was still a great stay in a great space. Also is a little on the expensive side, but at the end of the day, I think worth it.

Excellent hotel I would stay...
Positives:
I only liked the location of the hotel — it’s very convenient to reach all the popular spots. Hollywood Walk of Fame is a 21-minute walk or a 6-minute drive. Other aspects of the hotel did not stand out.
Negatives:
I was very disappointed with this hotel.
A major downside is the staff — nobody at the reception was friendly, and no one greeted us at any time.
The room was catastrophically small. The room we got was not as shown in the photos and had a different view, even though I paid extra for a window view. The king-size bed, as advertised, was actually smaller.
The towels were in poor condition, dirty and stiff, and there was only one bathrobe for two adults. The bathroom light bulb was burnt out, and nobody replaced it. The windows were dirty, which ruined the enjoyment of the view.
Breakfast downstairs was unappetizing.
Would we stay here again? No. Would I recommend this hotel? No.

Negatives:
We had a freezing cold shower for 4 days, after advising reception a number of times it was finally fixed. Staff are not very friendly or helpful except the cleaners who are lovely. Pay a high fee daily for pool and gym however you can't really use the pool after being out all day as many private functions on. If you need a good night's sleep don't bank on it as many loud functions on rooftop until 1am. On the last day we ordered breakfast to take away, my waffles had a very long knotted hair in it, couldn't eat it after that and not worth advising. Tried to negotiate a slightly later complimentary check out in lieu of cold shower for 4 days and was given 2 hours, or pay $150 for the 4 hours. I would never stay here again.

The motion sensor light in the room was annoying every time you moved it would light up so made for uncomfortable sleeping. Very annoying don’t understand why it’s in a bedroom directly above where you sleep. Rooftop bar and pool is only for adult pretty disappointing kids can’t use the pool what the point of families staying at the Godfrey, my kids were upset they couldn’t use the pool, wasn’t advised of this at the time of booking.
